Fish Delavan Lake, 5/9/22 – 5/16/22

Largemouth Bass can be readily found in a pre-spawn pattern.  The best depth is 3-4 ft.   There was a lot of fish activity in the outlet and in Lake Lawn Harbor.  The fish could be seen cruising all over, however, they didn’t bite that well.

Bluegills have moved deep.  They are in 16-18 ft of water.  The best location has been by Elgin Club or off the weed edge in Williams Bay.  The best approach is straight lining leaf worms about 1 ft off bottom.  You need to have calm winds for this to be effective.

Walleye fishing has been good at night.  Some nice fish were being caught on slip bobbers in 8-9 ft. of water.  The best bait for this week are large fat head minnows.  Casting crankbaits has also been producing a lot of fish.Check locations such as Willow Point, the Yacht Club point and Browns Channel.
