There are quite a few small fish being caught, however in a 4 hour trip, you should catch between 6 and 12 legal fish. My biggest fish last week was 19 ½ inches.

The best approach is slip bobbering medium suckers or lindy rigging them. The best location has been just west of Willow Point or down by the island.
Use drop shot rigs or Carolina rigged green pumpkin lizards. Northern Pike action has been almost non-existent this summer and that continues.
A lot of success is coming off of nightcrawlers or trolling crank baits. The best color has been fire tiger. Look for the fish by Willow Point or the Oriental boat house.
The bigger fish seem to be in 15-20 ft of water. However, for better action, the 12 ft range seems to always produce. No need to get fancy, the old split shot rig and a single hook works fine.
Bluegill fishing has been slow for me. I haven’t fished for them much. I believe most of the bigger fish are suspended over the main lake basin 10-15 ft down in 40 ft of water. Look for the fish off of the Yacht Club or by Willow Point.
I am still catching some nice bluegills in the 18-20 ft range. I’m catching a lot in the 9-10 inch range. Small red worms or nightcrawler pieces are producing most of the action.
I’m either drop shotting small plastic worms or using small yellow perch fished on a lindy rig. Walleye are still being caught at night. The best depth is 12-15 ft.
