Use drop shot rigs or Carolina rigged green pumpkin lizards. Northern Pike action has been almost non-existent this summer and that continues.

Lake Trout fishing has started to slow with the cooling water.  The fish aren’t suspended as much and they are laying close to the bottom making them hard to catch.  There are still some people trying for them in the main lake basin.

Bluegills have moved deep.  They are in 16-18 ft of water.  The best location has been by Elgin Club or off the weed edge in Williams Bay.  The best approach is straight lining leaf worms about 1 ft off bottom.  You need to have calm winds for this to be effective.

Rock bass are plentiful, with the cooling water.  Wherever you find active rock bass, you will most likely find a few small mouth as well.  The best depth has been 8-12 ft. of water.  All the fish I caught last week were on nightcrawlers.
