Lake Geneva Fishing Report, 6/20/22 – 6/27/2022

Perch still remain in the shallow waters.  They are on the hard bottom near points. On Saturday last week, the average size was very good. There was one keeper per five small ones, which is pretty good for Lake Geneva.

Lake Trout are still being caught in the main lake basin.  Some success is coming on large chrome/blue Rapalas or chrome/black Rapalas fished on a down rigger.  The best success has been coming on the suspended fish,  80 ft down in 110 ft of water.

They can be caught on their beds or just off their beds.  Nightcrawlers on a split shot rig are a good option.  Lizards fished on a light weight and a spinning rod have produced quite a few fish.  The best location has been Geneva bay or Trinkes.

Bluegills are in the 4-5 ft depth range.  They can be caught on leaf worms fished beneath a bobber.  The best location is by Trinkes and in Geneva Bay.  A lot of the bluegills were in the 8-9 inch range, like I said earler, I did catch several over 10 inches this week as well.

Northern Pike remain in the shallows chasing the other small fish.  They can be caught on black and silver Husky Jerks or Smithwick Rattling Rogues.  The best location is by the Fontana Beach or in Williams Bay.  Some of the recent catches are between 25 and 30 inches.
