You can’t go anywhere on the lake right now without catching perch.  The hard problem is to find the quality perch.  I like the Belvidere Park flat or Knollwood.  Try slip-bobbers with small minnows.

Bluegills have again moved shallow.  Most of the success is coming near the Island on the west end.  Most of the fish are coming on red worms or leaf worms.  Work a depth of 14-16 ft of water.  Anchored slip bobber fishermen are having most of the success.

Largemouth bass have moved shallow.  They can be caught in the 10-14 ft depth range.  Spinner baits or Rattle Traps have been producing most of the action.  Look for the fish in Geneva Bay or by Trinkes.  Some of the fish can also be caught dragging nightcrawlers with a split shot rig in the same […]

Perch fishing has been fantastic.  The fish are in 12 ft of water.  To catch the bigger fish, you need to use bigger minnows.  You want to slip bobber rig about 1-2 ft off bottom.  The best locations have been by Rainbow point or by Knollwood.

Largemouth bass that I’m fishing for are coming off the deep weedline.  I’m moving around a lot.  There is no rhyme or reason as to their location.  I just move down the weedline fishing nightcrawlers on a split shot rig.  The best location seems to be from the Village Point down to the Oriental boat […]

There are some walleyes being caught at night trolling large crankbaits.  Most of the success is coming off of large Rapalas or deep diving Walleye Bandits.  Chrome/Blue or Chrome/black are the best choices.  Try for the fish in Williams Bay or Trinkes Bay.

Northern Pike action still remains kind of slow.  The fish are still deep and still scattered.  I think we will see a major improvement as the water cools and the fish move up into the weeds.  Look for the fish by Fontana Beach or the North shore of the narrows.  The best approach continues to […]
