Bluegills are still very deep.  The best depth has been 29-30 ft.  They are biting on small ice jigs tipped with small red worms.  The best approach is straight lining beneath the boat.

Northern Pike action has been improving with the heat.  Most of the action has been in 35-40 ft of water.  The best location has been by Fontana Beach or the hump in Williams Bay.  There aren’t the numbers as there were in recent years, so if you catch one in 15-20 minutes you are doing […]

Lake Trout are still being caught in the main lake basin.  Some success is coming on large chrome/blue Rapalas or chrome/black Rapalas fished on a down rigger.  The best success has been coming on the suspended fish,  80 ft down in 110 ft of water.

Rock Bass are still everywhere.  The best presentation remains the nightcrawler fished on a split shot rig.  Look for the rock bass in 12-15 ft. of water for the most success.  Small plastics are still producing a lot of fish.  White and Pink have produced most of the action for me.
